FAQs

What is a wedding telegram?
Telegrams are an old fashioned tradition of sending in written form on paper, regards and best wishes to a wedding couple, usually sent from a family member or friend. Sadly, telegrams have been discontinued in modern times, due to the advancement in telecommunications technology including fax, SMS and email. This service is a nostalgic attempt to recreate that service for weddings.

Who reads out the Telegrams and when?
The traditional time for reading out telegrams at the wedding reception is directly after the last speech. Telegrams are traditionally read out by the Best Man or a groomsman.

Who should I send my wedding telegram to?
If you know the name and address of the Best Man or Maid of Honour, then send it to them. If not, send it to the bride or groom with a note at the top of the address block that says: “PASS TO BEST MAN BEFORE WEDDING”.

How much does it cost?
The standard price is $12.95 for delivery anywhere in Australia.
